LOL Comedy Club

LOL Comedy Club is bringing live stand-up to the Bournemouth Pavilion Ballroom on Friday 23 October, and it's not just a one-off: there are two more dates that follow, Saturday 14 November and Friday 18 December. Each night is built around a different lineup of four professional comedians, so if you go more than once, you'll see a completely different set of acts.

The comedians are drawn from a stable of names that have appeared on BBC2's Mock The Week, Channel 4's 8 Out of 10 Cats, BBC1's Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, Have I Got News For You and Paramount's Live at The Comedy Store. It's a run that pulls from the same circuit that feeds those shows, so you're getting the kind of professional stand-up that usually lives on the telly.

There's a bit of a track record here, too. The club has a history of booking names like Jason Manford, Sarah Millican, Joe Lycett, James Acaster and John Bishop before they hit the big time, so there's a good chance you'll see someone here long before they're selling out arenas. The shows run for around two hours and twenty minutes, and the age guidance is 16+.

Tickets start from £27.25, and if you're bringing a group of ten or more, that drops to £21.75 per person. All three dates start at 8:00pm at the Bournemouth Pavilion Ballroom.
