Left Handed presents Bushbaby and Reeshy live at The Old Fire Station, with a sell-out crowd expected.
Bushbaby and Reeshy are playing The Old Fire Station on Saturday 10 October, presented by Left Handed. It's a double bill with both on the same night, and the promoter is calling it a homecoming of sorts: Bushbaby's previous appearance here sold out in advance, and they're expecting a similar turn this time around.
If you're not familiar with the venue, The Old Fire Station is a Bournemouth institution. It's a 1,200-capacity nightclub and a 550-capacity live music venue in the heart of town, and it's been an icon of the south coast for a long time. Since 1995 it's served as the Students' Union nightclub and music venue for Bournemouth University, while staying open to the public for gigs and events throughout the year. It's operated by FeelPrime Ltd, which is wholly owned by the Students' Union.
The room leans towards house and house garage, so that's the sound you'll find here. With Bushbaby and Reeshy both on the bill, it's a night built around that territory. The homecoming angle makes sense too: this is a venue that's seen plenty of dance music come and go, and Bushbaby's last show here went to a sell-out, so there's a local track record to go on.
