A compelling live concert spanning decades of smart, genre-blending songwriting and career-defining favourites, featuring Joe Jackson and his band on the 'Hope and Fury' tour.
Joe Jackson is playing the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on Friday 2 October, as part of his Hope and Fury tour. It's one of seven UK dates, coming after a long run across North America between May and July that added more than 80 shows in 14 countries to the calendar.
The tour follows the release of Hope and Fury, which came out on 10 April 2026. It's a return to what's been called his 'mainstream' style, and it holds nine new songs. Critics have described the record as sitting somewhere between Fool (2019), Laughter and Lust (1991), and Night and Day (1982), so it draws on a few different eras of his work rather than sticking to one. The set will pull from across his career, not just the new material.
On stage, the Grammy-winning songwriter is backed by his regular band: bassist Graham Maby, guitarist Teddy Kumpel, and drummer Doug Yowell. For these shows, they've added Paulo Stagnaro on Latin percussion, which should bring a different feel to the rhythm section. Maby, Kumpel, and Yowell have played with him for years, so it's a familiar line-up rather than a new one.
