Viral cello sensation Jodok performs as a special guest on Katherine Jenkins' 25 Year Anniversary Tour at the Bournemouth Pavilion.
Jodok Cello is playing at Bournemouth Pavilion on Friday 9 October, appearing as a special guest on Katherine Jenkins' 25 Year Anniversary Tour. For those who haven't come across him, Jodok is the online name of Jodok Vuille, a Swiss cellist who first went viral for filming himself playing barefoot in dramatic mountain and lakeside settings, sometimes scaling summits to get the shot. He grew up on an organic farm in Switzerland's Emmental region, and that outdoorsy, wide-open backdrop is a big part of how he's known.
He's worked with a long list of names across a few different worlds — Andrea Bocelli, Il Divo, Teddy Swims, Il Volo, Lindsey Stirling, Alan Walker and Plácido Domingo Jr. — and more recently teamed up with Jenkins herself on the Flower Duet. He says he's admired her artistry for years, and that from the first note they played together it felt incredibly natural. The Bournemouth date is part of Jenkins' first tour in five years, and it marks Jodok Cello's UK stage debut, so it's his first time playing for a British audience in the flesh rather than through a screen.
