An exciting fun run featuring a huge range of giant inflatable obstacles, suitable for all ages from 5 upwards.
Inflatable 5K is coming to the Littledown Centre on Saturday 1 August, and it's exactly what the name suggests: a run through a huge course of giant inflatable obstacles. You'll be running, jumping, sliding and bouncing your way through, and it's built for having a laugh with friends rather than chasing a PB. There's music along the way, water stations to keep you going, and a finisher's medal at the end.
One of the best bits is that you can pick your own distance. There are four to choose from, each with its own set of obstacles: 2.5km with 15, 5km with 30, 10km with 60, and 15km with 90. The times vary too, from about 20 minutes for the 2.5km up to an hour and 45 minutes for the full 15km, so you can go for a quick blast or a proper morning out. It's open to anyone aged five and up, and the younger ones — five to fifteen — need to be accompanied by a participating adult, with a maximum of three children per adult. If that's not sorted, they won't let you take part, so keep it in mind if you're bringing the whole family.
On the practical side, you'll want trainers, long sleeves, and a waterproof jacket. Parking is £5 per car, and you're asked to arrive 30 to 45 minutes before your start time. Your entry includes medical cover, photography, a welcome bag, and a refreshing drink. There's also extra merchandise on the day, like personalised hoodies and t-shirts.

It's a paid event, and prices depend on the distance and your age. For the 5km, adults (16+) are £37 and children (5-15) are £32, with the full range across all distances running from £24.50 to £54.50. If you're bringing a group, there's an extra 10% off for five or more entries and 15% for fifteen or more, plus discounts for charities, Blue Light Card holders, and the NHS. If your plans change, you can transfer your entry up to ten days before the event for a £7.50 management fee per person. No dogs allowed.
