Comedy night with five south coast comedians, including Tim Sque and Jay Soma, in the cocktail bar.
Tim Sque headlines a comedy night at Hot Rocks on Thursday 8 October, the first time the venue has hosted comedy since a fire took out its top floor back in October 2021. It's a collaboration between Somat Funny Comedy Events and the bar, and the bill is drawn entirely from south coast comedians.
Sque takes the headline spot, with Zak Lacey, Liz Neesam, and Jay Soma filling out the rest of the line-up alongside a fifth south coast comedian. Travis Booth Millard hosts the night, so there are five acts in total across the evening. The whole thing is held in the cocktail bar, which sits right on Bournemouth beach on Pier Approach.
It's a bit of a return for the venue, then. The fire that hit the top floor was five years ago, and this is the first time comedy has come back to the bar since. The south coast focus is the other thing to keep in mind — every act on the bill is from around here, rather than flown in from further afield.

Doors open at 7pm, and the show starts at 7:45pm, so there's plenty of time to get a drink in before the first act takes the stage. Hot Rocks is on Pier Approach, right on the seafront.
