Community gathering with creative workshops, socialising and a homecooked meal at the Social Canteen.
Community Fridays are back at The Old School House on Friday 23 October, part of the wider Community Mondays & Fridays series. It's a free afternoon for the local community to gather and socialise, and this particular session runs from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
The afternoon is built around a welcome and a creative workshop, led this time by Claire. After that, everyone moves on to a homecooked meal at the Social Canteen in Boscombe, with a vegetarian option available. It's the kind of thing you can take as you find it: you might get stuck into the workshop, meet some new people, or just sit quietly and relax. There's free hot food and tea on hand, along with wifi and charging points if you need them.
Community Fridays are part of the Community Mondays & Fridays series, weekly gatherings of positivity, support and creativity in an inclusive and welcoming space. The whole thing grew out of the Warm Welcome Spaces initiative back in 2023, and it's run as part of a 15-week Autumn term that stretches from Monday 7 September to Friday 18 December 2026, organised by the Bournemouth Education Arts Foundation (BEAF).
