A one-off exhibition of rare bespoke sculptures and paintings by Poole artist Cat Suzanna, featuring animal sculptures made from discarded materials.
Cat Suzanna is bringing a one-off exhibition of her sculptures and paintings to Waterloo Road (Unit 5) in Bournemouth, running from Tuesday 18 August to Saturday 22 August. It's a five-day show, open from 12pm to 5pm each day, and the first 100 visitors get a free art print.
Suzanna is a fine arts painter and sculptor from Poole, and the sculptures on display are built from discarded materials like cardboard, wood and various fabrics. She describes the pieces as rare, bespoke items you wouldn't find anywhere else, and says her inspiration comes from whatever happens to intrigue her. The exhibition brings together those sculptures alongside her paintings, so you'll see both sides of her practice in one room.
Looking ahead, she's planning to draw further inspiration from the sea and mythical creatures, and hopes to complete a mermaid-inspired artwork in the coming months.
