Bournemouth Race for Life

Race for Life returns to The Seafront on Sunday 13 June 2027, starting at 10:00. It's Cancer Research UK's fundraising event, put on to raise money for life-saving cancer research. The 5k is pitched as a great first challenge for anyone, and there's no pressure to finish in a certain time: you can walk, jog or run at your own pace, however you like.

Everyone who signs up gets a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans, access to a Facebook community and a Race for Life medal. There's a minimum fundraising target of £50.00. The course runs along the seafront towards Boscombe Pier and back to Pier Approach, so you'll be right by the water for the whole thing. Over the past 50 years, Cancer Research UK says its work has helped double cancer survival in the UK, funding research into more than 200 types of cancer.

Earlybird entry prices run until 31 October 2026: £7.99 for those aged 16 and over, and £5.50 for children. The start is at The Seafront, Pier Approach, Bournemouth, BH1 2EZ on Sunday 13 June 2027, 10:00.
