Over-30s dayclub with a glam dress code, a main stage for house and club classics and a second room for old skool R&B.
Word of Mouth is back in Birmingham on Saturday 14 November, taking over St Pauls House in the Jewellery Quarter for another over-30s dayclub. It's a daytime affair that runs from 14:00, with last entry at 17:00, so you're in and out well before the night properly kicks off.
The room splits into two music areas. The main stage is house anthems, club classics, and exclusive edits and remixes, while the second room, the Hybrid Terrace, is for old skool R&B, smooth grooves, and guilty pleasures, both fronted by resident DJs and live artists. With a capacity of around 700, it's a decent-sized crowd without feeling like a warehouse, and the two rooms mean you can switch between the house and the R&B whenever you fancy.
One thing to keep in mind is the dress code, which they're quite strict about: glam, smart, and sophisticated. They have zero tolerance for sportswear, leisurewear, streetwear, tracksuits, joggers, hoodies, caps, man-bags, chains, and Stone Island or CP Company, so it's worth thinking about what you're wearing before you head out. Seating is first-come, first-served, so if you're the type who likes a spot to sit back and watch the room, getting in early is a good shout. Pre-order drink packages are available online if you'd rather have your rounds sorted in advance.
