Monthly Thursday tasting session for over-18s at Grain & Glass, with three measures of whisky paired with three portions of cheese.
Grain & Glass are running their whisky and cheese pairing on Saturday 31 October, one of their regular tasting sessions in Birmingham. It's a simple, hands-on pairing: three measures of whisky matched with three portions of cheese, led by friendly whisky specialists. The tasting itself takes 60 minutes, and with the pre- and post-session time, you're looking at about an hour and a half in total.
The night starts at the venue's warm bar, where you can settle in and buy drinks before moving into the tasting room for the pairing. Once the session finishes, you're free to head back to the bar and order more whiskies from the menu. Reviewers have called it a 'spirit-infused adventure' and praised the venue, which stocks hundreds of whiskies from around the world.

It's an over-18s only experience, so you'll need a valid ID with you. Wheelchair access is available via a portable ramp. The session costs £50 per person, and the tasting runs on the first Thursday of each month throughout the year, so if this date doesn't work, there's always another one coming up.
