Free careers and university fair for school leavers with face-to-face talks from universities and employers, advice from careers experts and exhibitor hubs.
What University? & What Career? Live is at the NEC on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 February 2027. It's a careers and university information show aimed at school leavers, and it's free to get in.
The whole point is to see what's actually on the table after school or college. You can chat face-to-face with leading universities and top employers, get one-to-one advice from careers experts, and watch a programme of talks. It's spread across three theatres — Careers, University and Advice — so you can spend your time where you're most stuck.
Beyond the theatres, the exhibitors are grouped into hubs. There's the Industries Hub, the STEM Hub, the Future Skills Workshop and the Creative hub, which makes it easier to find the sectors you're actually interested in. There's also a CV Clinic for sorting out your applications, a US University zone if you're looking across the pond, and a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Zone. And if you're bringing your parents along, there's a Parents' Lounge where they can take a breather while you're doing your thing.
