Five-piece 80s pop rock tribute act plays a live show of anthemic numbers from the 1980s at Longbridge Social Club.
Vehicle are playing Longbridge Social Club on Friday 13 November, a night of 80s pop rock anthems. They're a five-piece tribute act from Worcestershire, and the set is built around the big songs of the 1980s. The organisers describe the night as a nostalgic experience, and the band as one of the most entertaining live acts on the scene.
What they do is a completely live show, and the range they cover is wide enough to pull in a few different crowds. They draw on artists like Simple Minds, Tears For Fears, Nik Kershaw, and Cutting Crew, but they also reach for Don Henley, Pink Floyd, Prince, Dire Straits, Billy Idol, and Kenny Loggins. It's a broad sweep of the decade, so you'll hear the synth-pop of the early years alongside the guitar-heavy stuff that came later.
