Intimate meetup for wedding suppliers to network, create professional photography and social content, and discuss accessibility in the wedding industry.
The Wed Edit is a creative gathering for wedding suppliers, running from 12:00 to 15:00 on Sunday 1 November at Spaces Studios in Deritend. It's hosted by Stories of Eternity and The Unseen Weddings, and they've kept it small — only eight spaces available.
The afternoon is split between two distinct things. The first half is about content: you'll work with Lara from Stories of Eternity to get some fresh, portfolio-ready photographs and social media clips. If you're a photographer, florist, planner, or venue owner, it's a chance to step in front of the lens for a bit and walk away with something new for your own channels. The second half shifts to a conversation led by Charlotte from The Unseen Weddings, who'll open up a discussion on accessibility in the wedding industry. It's not just about the obvious stuff; she'll be covering both visible and non-visible disabilities, so it's a broad look at how to make weddings work for more couples.
Between the two, there's plenty of room to network. It's an intimate setup, so you'll be in the room with other suppliers rather than just working through a list. If you're in the wedding trade around Birmingham, it's a good way to meet people you might actually end up working with on a real job.
