German Bavarian Oompah showband with folk tunes, yodelling and audience interaction, over-18s night with bratwurst and fries.
The Bierkeller Schunklers are playing Longbridge Social Club on Friday 30 October, bringing a German Bavarian Oompah night to south Birmingham. It's not your typical gig: the band is a four-piece that's been going for more than 25 years, and they describe what they do as a high-energy Bavarian party experience. The set leans on table-thumping German folk tunes alongside modern party hits, with singing, marching, yodelling and non-stop audience interaction. If you've never come across them, that's the gist of it — Oompah band, Bavarian style, and a fair bit of getting the room involved.
There's a bit more to the night than just the music, too. The ticket includes bratwurst and fries, so you've got the food sorted as well as the band. It's strictly for over-18s, which makes it a proper adults-only evening rather than a family affair. Between the Oompah, the food, and the over-18s rule, it's a specific kind of night out — a Bavarian party brought to a Birmingham social club.
