Award-winning improvised comedy show in which the performers make everything up on the spot from audience suggestions.
Shoot From The Hip are playing The Alexandra on Friday 2 April 2027, starting at 19:30. If you've never come across them, they specialise in award-winning improvised comedy, and the whole thing is completely unscripted. There's no set list and no pre-written material; everything they perform on stage is made up on the spot, built from suggestions thrown in by the audience. It's the kind of show where the crowd gets to call the shots, so no two nights ever end up the same.
That's the thing about improv — the unpredictability is the point. Because they're working from whatever the room gives them, you're watching the show being built in real time, and you'll see the performers reacting to each other and the audience as they go. It's a bit like watching a first draft happen live on stage, with the jokes and the scenes coming out of nowhere.
They've been doing this for a while now, and their work has been recommended by Metro, the Evening Standard and Time Out. If you're used to stand-up where the comic tells a polished story they've worked on for months, this is a different beast entirely — it's more about the moment and the chance of it all.
