Talk by physicist and broadcaster Professor Brian Cox, joined on stage by comedian Robin Ince, at the Utilita Arena Birmingham.
Professor Brian Cox is coming to the Moore Theatre on Saturday 16 January 2027 for a talk. If you've seen him on the telly, you'll know the pitch: the physicist and musician taking the biggest questions about the universe and making them something you can actually wrap your head around.
Cox is a Professor of Particle Physics at The University of Manchester and the Royal Society Professor for Public Engagement in Science, as well as a Fellow of the Royal Society. Over the last 15 years he's fronted a string of acclaimed BBC science programmes, from the Peabody Award-winning Wonders of the Solar System to Forces of Nature, Stargazing Live and the worldwide hit The Planets, and he's picked up two Royal Television Society awards along the way. He's also written best-selling books like Human Universe and broke his own Guinness World Record for most tickets sold by a science tour, with 158,589 on his Universal tour.
He won't be on his own for this one, either. He's joined on stage by comedian Robin Ince, co-host of The Infinite Monkey Cage, so you've got the science and the comedy running side by side. It's the same pairing from the podcast, and they'll be doing the same thing here: talking through the big ideas with a bit of wit to keep it grounded.
