Owen Parsons + friends with Faraz, Mark Birch, MINI + Mizzy

Owen Parsons is playing at Komunal on Friday 30 October, and he's not coming alone. The night is billed as Owen Parsons + friends, and the friends list is a fair few: Faraz, Mark Birch, MINI and Mizzy. It's a live music session, so the whole thing is built around the performance rather than a single act taking the stage and leaving.

Faraz is coming over from the UK for this one, and he's joined by Mark Birch, MINI and Mizzy. With five names on the bill, it's a full line-up for one night, and the way it's put together suggests a collaborative session rather than a series of separate sets. Parsons is the main feature, but the 'friends' part of the title carries its own weight here.

Komunal is in Digbeth, at 11 Shaw's Passage, B5 5JG. It's a good spot for a Friday night in the city, and since the session starts at 19:00, it's early enough to make a proper evening of it. The music runs through the night, and the listing notes it goes on into Saturday 31 October, so there's plenty of room to settle in.

Entry is free, which makes it an easy one to drop into without much thought. If you're around Digbeth on Friday, you can just turn up. The session starts at 19:00 at Komunal, 11 Shaw's Passage, B5 5JG, with Owen Parsons leading the way and Faraz, Mark Birch, MINI and Mizzy on the bill.
