Finale of the grassroots Not So Rock Show, with live music and dancing across two rooms and a DJ-led after-party until 3am.
The Not So Rock Show is calling time on its run with a finale at Dead Wax in Digbeth on Saturday 24 October. It's a multi-room send-off for one of the city's grassroots radio shows, which has spent six years championing local talent and promoting Birmingham's emerging scenes. This is the sign-off: a final night that spreads across two spaces with live music and dancing throughout.
The bill is split between the upstairs room and the Courtyard. Upstairs, Frieda Star, Lydons, Leah Wilcox and Lucky Number You take turns. Down in the Courtyard, BldSugr!, Vindictive and Dredge hold down the other half. Between the two, you've got seven acts to work your way through over the course of the evening.
When the live sets wrap up, the night keeps going with a DJ-led after-party that runs until 3am, so there's plenty of room to stay on and dance long after the bands have finished. It's a long one, starting at 6:30pm and stretching well into the early hours.
