Monster High HALLOWEEN Friday 30th October 2026

UPRAWR is hosting its Monster High Halloween night at The Asylum in Birmingham on Friday 30 October, with the party kicking off at 11:00 pm. It's the club's big Halloween Ball, and the Monster High theme sets the tone for the whole night.

If you're not familiar with it, UPRAWR is one of the city's longest-running alt nights, and it's held a residency at The Asylum for years. It's built its name on a broad mix of pop punk, emo, indie, nu metal and rock anthems, so the music tends to pull from a few different corners of the alt scene rather than sticking to one sound. It's the kind of night where you'll hear the pop punk and emo tracks alongside the heavier nu metal and rock anthems, all under one roof.

That mix is what UPRAWR does every week, but the Halloween Ball is when they lean into the theme. The Monster High name gives you a clear starting point for the dress code, and the night runs late into the early hours, so it's more of a club night than a gig. The Asylum has been home to the night for a long time, and it's a well-known spot for the alt crowd in Birmingham.

One thing to keep in mind: online tickets for the Halloween Ball are already sold out, so you won't find them on the usual sites. There are 50 tickets left to be sold on the door, which means you'll need to get there early if you want to make sure you get in. The night starts at 11:00 pm on Friday 30 October at The Asylum.
