Black-tie Halloween masquerade ball with a drinks reception, gothic platters, a short presentation by the Its A Death Sentence podcast team and live music from The Emma Skipp Band and a DJ.
It's A Death Sentence are hosting a Halloween masquerade ball at Moor Hall Hotel & Spa on Saturday 31 October, from 7:00 pm to 11:30 pm. The night is put on by the It's A Death Sentence podcast, and the whole thing is built around their mission: opening up normal, human conversations about death and loss, on the belief that connection, honesty and community matter. It's a heavy starting point, but the evening itself is styled as a night of intrigue and glamour, with guests invited to turn up in their most mysterious mask and dance the night away.
The programme moves through a few distinct stages. It starts with a drinks reception accompanied by a string trio, which leads into a sit-down dinner of gothic platters and decadent desserts. Between the meal and the music, there's a short presentation by the podcast team, and from there the live music takes over. The band for the night is The Emma Skipp Band, with a DJ keeping things going alongside them. Black tie is the order of the night, so it's a proper dress-up affair.
