One-night-only Halloween cabaret of jazz, scary striptease and drag from the stars of House of Allure, produced by Dominus Von Vexo.
House of Allure brings The Allure Spookeasy to The Old Joint Stock Pub & Theatre on Friday 23 October, a one-night-only Halloween twist on the company's five-star, sell-out show. The whole thing is set in a Prohibition Party world of sizzling jazz, scary striptease and spellbinding drag, so it's a Halloween night that leans into the speakeasy side of things rather than just ghosts and ghouls. It's a single night, not a run, so if you're going to catch it, this is the one.
Behind it is Dominus Von Vexo, who produces the show and goes by the name 'The Queen of Birmingham Burlesque'. The night brings together stars from the drag, showgirl and variety worlds, and it's already picked up the 'Best Local Cabaret Award' from Midlands Rainbow. The Express & Star called it 'The Drag And Burlesque Powerhouse Of The West Midlands', and it's a five-star show that's played to sell-out crowds, so it's got a bit of a reputation behind it before it even hits the stage.

As for the venue, The Old Joint Stock Pub & Theatre sits above the pub at 4 Temple Row West, B2 5NY, in the city centreβa short walk from both Snow Hill and New Street stations. It's known as a home for premier fringe theatre in the Midlands, and it stages burlesque, cabaret, stand-up and musical theatre, so this fits right in with the kind of nights they usually put on. Tickets are Β£22 to Β£33, and since it's a one-night-only show, you'll want to get yours sorted in advance.
