Halloween Ducktails

Popworld Birmingham is running Halloween Ducktails on Thursday 29 October, a pre-Halloween club night that kicks off at 22:00 and runs through until Friday 30 October. It's a mid-week one, so it sits a few days before the actual holiday, and the venue is billing it as a costume dress rehearsal — a chance to test out your fancy dress before the main event on the 31st.

The night is built around the fancy dress, so you're encouraged to turn up in costume and lean into the holiday. There are themed drinks to match the occasion, and the whole thing is set up as a proper club night, with the music and the atmosphere doing the heavy lifting. If you've spent weeks on a costume and don't want to wait until the weekend to wear it, this is a good spot to get it out of the wardrobe early.

On the practical side, the drinks are kept cheap: vodka and a mixer for £2, and Jägerbombs for £2 as well. Entry is free before 11pm, so if you get there early, you'll save on the door and have a few hours of the night ahead of you.
