Tribute show marking the 25th anniversary of System of a Down's Toxicity and Slipknot's IOWA, with Chop Suey, Slip-NOT, A7Xperience and Propa Roach.
Forever Nu comes to XOYO on Thursday 5 November, a tribute night marking the 25th anniversary of two of the most iconic metal albums of a generation: System of a Down's Toxicity and Slipknot's Iowa. Both records came out in 2001, so the night is built around that particular era of nu-metal.
The bill features four tribute acts: Chop Suey, Slip-NOT, A7Xperience and Propa Roach. Chop Suey and Slip-NOT are billed as two of the best tribute acts in the UK, and they've got some heavy names behind them — members of Dragonforce, Anti-Nowhere League, Tigertailz and Sinsaenum are among the musicians involved. The whole thing is presented by Doppelgang3r and forms part of Slip-NOT's 2026-27 UK tour, which also stops in London, Leeds, Cardiff and Liverpool.
It's aimed squarely at fans of 2000s metal, so if you spent your teenage years with those records on repeat, this is exactly the kind of night you'll recognise. The focus is on the anniversary of Toxicity and Iowa, and with four bands on the bill, there's a fair bit of ground to cover across the evening.
