Interactive, improvised stage adaptation of Fawlty Towers in which the audience becomes the guests of Basil, Sybil and Manuel, served with a three-course meal.
Faulty Towers The Dining Experience is coming to the Banqueting Suite at Birmingham Council House in Victoria Square from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 December 2026. It's an immersive stage adaptation of the BBC sitcom Fawlty Towers, put on by Interactive Theatre. Rather than watching from the stalls, you're a guest of the show's famous trio — Basil, Sybil and Manuel — and you're encouraged to take part in the action.
The production is completely original and heavily improvised, with about 70% of the show made up on the fly, so it's never the same twice. It runs for around two hours and is paired with a 1970s-inspired three-course meal, with vegetarian and vegan options available. The show has toured for 27 years across 43 countries and welcomed well over a million visitors since it started in 1997, and it's been called one of Australia's greatest theatre exports.
