Over-18s Halloween drum and bass night headlined by Deep Impact, with Croak Heads and Lumina, at Suki10c.
Deep Impact are taking over SUKi10C on Saturday 24 October for Drop of the Dead!, a Halloween special for the drum and bass scene. They've billed it as 'the darkest night of the year', and the whole thing is built around the Deep Impact sound, so it's a night that stays firmly within the D&B world rather than drifting into a general mix.
That sound covers a fair bit of ground. The music spans Jump Up, Dancefloor and Neurofunk, so you'll get the heavier, more aggressive side of things alongside the dancefloor-focused stuff and the darker, more technical Neurofunk. It's a good spread of the genre's different faces rather than sticking to just one corner of it.
Deep Impact aren't doing it alone. They're joined by Croak Heads, Lumina, Deep Impact Records and TYC Streamworks, so there are plenty of names to keep the night moving. It's an over-18s night, and the whole thing is set up as a Halloween special, so it's a good one to keep in mind if you're looking for something to do around the 24th.
