Christmas Comedy Special with Angelos Epithemiou

Angelos Epithemiou is playing a Christmas comedy special at Just The Tonic in Birmingham on Saturday 5 December. It's a single-name bill, so he's the only act on the night — no opening act or mixed line-up to work through first.

If you've come across his work before, you'll know the character he's built. He's a particular kind of creation, a sort of misplaced, slightly bewildered figure who finds himself in situations he's not quite equipped for. The comedy comes from that gap between who he thinks he is and how the world actually sees him, and this special is built around that same persona. It's a full show, not a short set, so there's plenty of room for the character to settle in and run with it.

Just The Tonic is running the night out of Rosies Nightclub, at 259-262 Broad Street, B1 2HF. It's a central spot, so it's easy enough to get to from anywhere in the city. The show starts at 20:00, and tickets start from £22.00.
