18+ bashment party with a lights-out set by Bobby Shmurda, an all-star DJ line-up and professional photography and videography.
Bobby Shmurda is playing Coded Birmingham on Saturday 31 October, the night running from 10 pm to 4 am. It's billed as an 18+ bashment party, and Shmurda is the main feature, with a lights-out set and an all-star DJ line-up playing dancehall, Afrobeats, Amapiano, bashment and drill. Professional photography and videography will be running throughout the night, and there are tables and birthday packages available if you're going with a group.
Shmurda came up in Flatbush and hit it big with 'Shmoney Dance', which took off on Vine after the 'Hot N*gga' music video and put him on the map when he was 20. He grew up on 2Pac, Biggie, Lil Wayne, Juvenile and Trick Daddy, spent his time remixing 50 Cent and Jay-Z, and has named Lil Boosie as a collaborator he'd love to work with. He also released 'Shmurda She Wrote'.

One thing to keep in mind before you head down: there's a dress code. It's described as 'stylish', and they've been clear about what doesn't make the cut — no hats, hoods, tracksuits or sportswear. If you're planning to go, it's worth having that in the back of your mind so you don't get turned away at the door. Tickets are £11 to £27.50, and the night runs from 10 pm to 4 am at Coded Birmingham, 90-96 Hospital Street, Birmingham B19 3QP.
