Birmingham Craft Brew Festival Presents: A Hoppy Christmas

Birmingham Craft Brew Festival is taking over The Bond in Digbeth on Saturday 5 December, from 1pm to 6pm, for a Christmas special they've called A Hoppy Christmas. It's a five-hour session, so it's more of a proper afternoon out than a quick drink.

If you've never been, the whole thing is built around the brewers themselves being there to pour their own beers, so you can actually talk to the people who made what's in your glass. The beer is bottomless, and that's not just for the craft stuff — cider, wine, non-alcoholic beer, soft drinks, mulled wine and prosecco are all included. There are no drink tokens to top up throughout the day, so once you're in, you're sorted.

They've got a live Christmas party band and acoustic sets running alongside meet-the-brewer sessions, street food, giveaways, and a bit of a party atmosphere with confetti cannons and snow machines. It's a well-behaved-dogs-welcome kind of afternoon, too, so you don't have to leave them at home. Past attendees have called it 'Disneyland for beer lovers' and the most fun they've had at a beer festival in nearly 40 years of CAMRA membership.

Tickets are £45 for early bird, on sale from 10am on Friday 28 August, with VIP options available. It's 18+ only, and the whole thing runs from 1pm to 6pm on Saturday 5 December at The Bond, Fazeley St, Digbeth, B5 5SE.
