Premier League football match between Aston Villa and Sunderland at Villa Park.
Aston Villa take on Sunderland at Villa Park on Saturday 21 November, a Premier League clash in the heart of Birmingham. It's a standard league fixture, so it's a straightforward one for anyone following the season: Villa at home, Sunderland visiting from the North East, with the match kicking off at 3:00pm.
For those of us who follow the football around the city, the timing is the easiest part to work around. A Saturday afternoon kick-off means you're not rushing home from work or fighting the weekday rush, and with the match starting at 3:00pm, you've got the whole evening left once it's over. It's a proper weekend game, the kind of thing you build your Saturday around rather than squeeze in between other plans.
Villa Park is the home ground, so if you're coming from across town, you'll be heading towards the Aston area. It's a well-known spot for the city's football, and having the match here means the home crowd will be out in force. Sunderland make the trip down from the North East, so it's a classic Premier League meeting between two clubs from different parts of the country.
