Weekly drop-in session for adults to knit, crochet or cross stitch and share tips and patterns at Ardoyne Library.
Knit and Natter runs every Monday morning at Ardoyne Library, from 11:00am to 1:00pm. It's a drop-in session for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross-stitch and other crafts, and it's part of a wider network of similar groups running in libraries across Northern Ireland.
The format is straightforward: you bring along a project you're already working on, or start something new, and spend the session sharing hints and tips, swapping patterns and meeting new people. It's as much about the chatting as it is about the making, so if you've got a half-finished jumper or a bit of embroidery you've been putting off, this is a good place to get it moving while having a proper catch-up with others.
Ardoyne Library hosts the group as part of its broader role in the community. They describe their aim as connecting people with information, ideas and experiences to foster lifelong learning, inspire curiosity, provide enjoyment and strengthen communities. The session fits right into thatโa regular spot to get together around a shared hobby and have a bit of a natter while you work.
