Local artists reinterpret songs from Snow Patrol's 'Eyes Open' for its 20th anniversary in a Classic Album Night at Oh Yeah Music Centre.
Oh Yeah Music Centre is marking the twentieth anniversary of Eyes Open on Friday 6 November, as part of the Sound of Belfast 2026 festival. It's a Classic Album Night, and the record being celebrated is Snow Patrol's biggest-selling album, the one that helped take Northern Irish music to a global audience.
Rather than a straightforward tribute, the night works by bringing in local artists to reinterpret songs from Eyes Open. It's a series of covers of the album's tracks, played by different acts throughout the evening, so you'll hear the songs reimagined in a few different ways rather than just run through as they were originally recorded. The album itself came out in 2006, and this marks two decades since it hit the shelves.
