Marathon darts session where co-founders David and Amanda Blair and community members throw for 12 hours to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
The Dart & Oche is hosting a 12-hour darts marathon for Prostate Cancer UK on Sunday 15 November, from 10am to 10pm. The venue is at 156-158 Castlereagh Road in East Belfast, and the whole day is open to anyone who wants to drop in.
The day is called The Oche 12, and it's a personal challenge for the venue's co-founders, David and Amanda Blair. They'll be throwing darts continuously for the full 12 hours, and they're inviting the community to join them. The Dart & Oche is a community darts hub on Castlereagh Road, and they're staging this marathon to raise money and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK, with all proceeds going directly to the charity. It's a cause that's hit close to home for the Blairs, whose family has been particularly affected by prostate cancer.
Beyond the marathon itself, there's a Josh Rock signed bundle raffle running throughout the day. Local businesses are also being asked to sponsor one of the ten boards, or a board plus a team, and community members are encouraged to bring their own teams along to get involved. If you're not a regular player, it's still a good spot to watch and put something in the bucket.
