A night of darkwave and gothic rock performances presented by the SĂ©ance promoter, with DJ sets by Tears of Eros, Horrorizer and Billy.
Vivent Les Morts, Gleaming, The Polybius Cabinet, and Permanent Shadows all play Cheer Up Charlies on Thursday, July 30. The night is presented by SĂ©ance, a promoter known for pairing dark live performances with dancing, and it's built around the release of Gleaming's NEAR IT.
Between the four live acts, there are DJ sets by Tears of Eros, Horrorizer, and Billy to keep the room moving. The whole thing is a single bill, so you'll get a full run of live sets and dance music in one go.
Cheer Up Charlies is the fun, gay uncle of the Red River bar and live music scene, one of the most cheerful, inviting and beloved rooms on the block, filled with random rainbow art, unicorns and funkiness. It serves vegan food and creative cocktails alongside local beers, organic teas and kombucha, and its outdoor limestone-dressed stage has hosted everything from craft nights and karaoke to artists such as Peaches and John Legend.
