Uchibā Austin participates in Austin Restaurant Weeks with a three-course prix fixe lunch, donating $4 from each meal to the Central Texas Food Bank.
Uchibā Austin is running a special lunch menu at 601 W 2nd St as part of Austin Restaurant Weeks, which runs from Saturday, August 29, through Sunday, September 13. It's a three-course prix fixe for $35, and you get to pick your own starter and main, with a seasonal sorbet to finish. The lunch window is 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM daily, so it works for a mid-day break or a long weekend meal.
Uchibā is part of the Hai Hospitality group, and this menu is their contribution to Austin Restaurant Weeks, a two-week event that brings specially priced menus to participating restaurants across the greater Austin area. The whole thing has a charitable side: a portion of every prix fixe meal sold goes to the Central Texas Food Bank, where each dollar donated helps provide three meals for neighbors in need. For this particular menu, Uchibā is pledging $4 from every meal to the food bank.
