Dancing Austin Two-Step night with Tuskola, Nicky Diamonds, and Billy Broome at The White Horse.
Tuskola, Nicky Diamonds, and Billy Broome are taking over The White Horse on Thursday, July 23, for a night of Austin two-step. The three of them share the bill, so you'll get a full run of danceable country rather than one act opening for another.
If you haven't spent much time there, The White Horse is a Lower East honky-tonk on Comal Street that's been around since December 2011. It was opened by Nathan Hill and Denis O'Donnell, who spent years managing the Hole in the Wall and helped launch modern outlaw country acts like Mike & the Moonpies and Leo Rondeau. It's a live music spot seven days a week, and the room is built for more than just the stage: there's a full-service bar, an outdoor patio and smoking area, two pool tables, a dance floor, a photo booth, a shoe shine station, and the Bomb Tacos taco trailer parked outside. Sundays belong to the Eastside institution Conjunto Los Pinkys, and the venue has picked up several Best of Austin Awards over the years, including Readers Poll - Best New Bar and Best New Club in 2012.
Every week we pick ๐ the 5 best ๐ things to do in Austin and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

The music runs from 7 PM to 1 AM, so there's plenty of room to settle in for the night. It's a 21+ crowd, and the cover is $10.
