Free pre-race celebration with live music, RC race track, games and interactive experiences, featuring a special appearance by Alex Albon.
Duracell is throwing a pre-race party called the Power Paddock at Brazos Hall on Wednesday, October 21, from noon to 8 PM. It's run in partnership with Amazon and serves as a standalone celebration in the city before the F1 action moves to the track. The whole thing is built around the United States Grand Prix weekend at Circuit of the Americas, so it's a good way to get into the race mood without having to head out to the circuit just yet.
There's a fair amount to do throughout the day. Alex Albon, driver for the Atlassian Williams F1 Team, will be making a special appearance, and there's live music running. The activities lean into the racing theme: an RC race track, a simulated Battery Bull ride, a Texas-inspired High Stakes Horseshoe Toss, the Power Boost Slam, a Flash Lane photobooth, and a digital graffiti wall. You can drift between them at your own pace, so it works as a full afternoon or just a quick stop.
If you're already heading to the race, this is one of the easier ways to kick things off. The party runs as a standalone event in downtown Austin on the 21st, and then the paddock moves on-site to the circuit from October 23 to 25 for race ticket holders. Grand PrixView keeps the party going on Thursday, so the celebration stretches across a good chunk of the week.

Standalone tickets are $20, but it's free if you already have a 3-Day Ticket or a 3-Day Hospitality pass. The venue is Brazos Hall, 204 E 4th St., Austin, TX 78701, and the party runs from noon to 8 PM on Wednesday, October 21.
