Tuskola plays Lamberts on Friday, August 21, from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. It's a single-act bill, so the whole evening is built around them.
If you're not familiar with the spot, Lamberts is at 401 W. Second in downtown Austin. It's a double act: a barbecue joint downstairs and a swanky bar upstairs, and that's where the music happens. The upstairs bar has its own stage for nightly live music, along with local beers and slow-smoked barbecue. The venue itself is the revamped J.P. Schneider Store, which was built in 1873, and it's been run by Larry McGuire, Tom Moorman Jr., and Will Bridges since 2006.

Since the music is upstairs, you can start your night with a plate of barbecue downstairs and then head up to the bar for the show. The set runs from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, so it's an early one that wraps up before the late-night crowd takes over downtown. If you're planning to eat first, you'll want to give yourself plenty of time to get through the barbecue line before the music kicks off.
