Tunesmiths Tuesdays

Tunesmiths Tuesdays is back at The Saxon Pub on Tuesday, September 22, as part of the venue's weekly series. It's a songwriter showcase that pairs Austin's finest songwriters with an intimate room and a rotating bill of local talent playing originals across Americana, folk and roots styles. The bill changes from week to week, so you'll hear a different set of voices each time it rolls around.

That rotating lineup is the point of the night. Instead of one headliner and a few openers, the showcase brings together several songwriters on the same bill, all playing their own material. The focus is on the songs themselves—Americana, folk, and roots—and the songwriters who write them. The room they're playing in has its own history. The Saxon Pub opened in 1990 and has since become one of the city's iconic live music venues, with well over 22,000 performances hosted under its roof.
