Trans Pride benefit night with live music and drag performances supporting Autonomy Austin.
Trans Pride takes over Mohawk Austin on Friday, July 31, for a benefit night presented by Burn2Ashh. The whole evening raises money for Autonomy Austin, a local organization, and the bill pulls from the city's trans creative scene, pairing a run of live bands with a drag showcase. It's an all-ages show, so you can bring whoever you want.
On the music side, the lineup features Molly Ringworm, Knocked Up, Morta, PMS, and Twink Death. That's five bands in one night, and they're all local, so you'll likely recognize a few of these names from other Austin stages. The drag showcase adds another layer to the bill, with performances by Ethel Institution, Tangelo, Neura Toxin, and Jack the Stripper. Between the two, you're looking at nine different acts across the evening, and the music and drag run side by side rather than one following the other.
