Toadies perform live at Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater, with support from Sparta.
Toadies play Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater on Saturday, December 26, 2026, with Sparta opening. It's one of 25 dates across 23 cities on their 2026-2027 tour.
If you're coming to them from the early stuff, you probably know the Fort Worth band from "Possum Kingdom" and their million-selling 1994 debut Rubberneck. They built a reputation on unpredictable songwriting and a sound that blends alt-rock intensity with country, classic rock, and Texas grit. That same lineup is still intact: Todd Lewis on vocals and guitar, Clark Vogeler on guitar, Doni Blair on bass, and Mark Reznicek on drums.
They're touring their eighth album, The Charmer, which they describe as their most personal release to date. It's one of the final recordings by legendary producer Steve Albini, who worked with Nirvana and PJ Harvey. Written largely during the pandemic and released through Austin's Spaceflight Records—a nonprofit, artist-first label—the record dives into themes of isolation, self-reflection, and inner conflict. Between that and the older material, there's plenty to pull from for a full set.
