Heavy psych rock band The Well perform at Radio/East in Austin, with support from Farmer's Wife and Commercial Breaks.
The Well are playing Radio/East on Sunday, November 22, with Farmer's Wife and Commercial Breaks opening. It's a local bill for an Austin band, so you'll get a full night of music on the same stage. The Well play heavy psych, and they're the main draw here, with the other two acts filling out the bill before they take over.
If you're not familiar with them, The Well is a trio made up of Jason Sullivan, Ian Graham, and Lisa Alley. They've built a bit of a character-driven image around themselves: Ian is the reclusive and despondent one, Lisa wears red lipstick, and Jason is the canary in the coal mine. It's a specific way of presenting themselves that sits right alongside the music they make.
