The Vindys bring their rock, soul, and pop sound to 3TEN Austin City Limits Live.
The Vindys play 3ten Austin City Limits Live on Saturday, August 22, starting at 8 PM. They're coming in from Youngstown, Ohio, and they've spent the last decade building their following around a sound they describe as a blend of rock, soul, and pop. It's a full-band setup: powerhouse vocalist and songwriter Jackie Popovec fronts the group, backed by John Anthony on lead guitar, Rick Deak on rhythm guitar, Jesse DeLorenzo on drums, Brendan Burke on bass, and Nathan Anthony on keys.
Popovec has drawn high praise from Pat Benatar, and Marc Thiessen of The Washington Post called her "a revelation." Critics have described the band's overall sound as "rock and roll at its finest." They've opened for a long list of names—Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, ZZ Top, Marcus King, Beth Hart, and Ann Wilson—and their track "Are You Ready" landed in ESPN commercials. The video for "Bugs" was selected for the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival, and Cleveland Magazine named them its 2023 Editor's Pick for Best Indie Rock Band.
