The Two Lips perform live as part of the Holiday Hootenanny festival, an annual Austin music celebration with multiple acts, a holiday market and festive cocktails.
The Two Lips play Radio/East on Friday, December 11, as part of Holiday Hootenanny. It's an afternoon set, with doors at 2 PM and the show starting at 3 PM.
If you haven't come across it before, Holiday Hootenanny is an annual Austin celebration that throws one last party before everyone disappears for the holidays. It runs across two days and features more than twenty national and local acts, with no overlapping sets. The whole thing started from an idea by Resound Presents and Austin concert photographer and Todo Records partner Pooneh Ghana, who wanted to get every corner of Austin's independent music scene into the same room before the calendar resets. Each edition pairs a diverse, eclectic lineup with a holiday market, festive cocktails, and a mechanical reindeer, and this year the party returns to Radio/East for two nights.
That means The Two Lips aren't the only act on the bill. They're one of more than twenty bands playing across the two days, and since the sets don't overlap, you can catch multiple acts without having to choose between them. The whole thing is built around the local scene, so you'll find Austin artists playing alongside national ones, all under the same roof.
