The Stationary Shop by Marjan Kamali

The Stationary Shop by Marjan Kamali is the book on the table for the next meeting of the Milwood Monday Night Book Club, which gathers at the Austin Public Library Milwood Branch on Monday, August 24. It's an 8,266-square-foot facility sitting on more than seven acres of wooded land in Council District 7, and it houses Lori Norwood's sculpture Learning to Fly, part of the Austin Art in Public Places program. The branch opened on July 26, 1997, the result of a campaign that started in the mid-1980s when concerned citizens and neighborhood organizations lobbied for a branch in the area, with funds finally approved in the 1992 bond election.
