The Jigglewatts burlesque revue celebrates its 20th anniversary with a gala show featuring the full cast, live band, and guest artist Frankie Fictitious.
The Jigglewatts Burlesque Revue is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a gala show at The State Theatre on Saturday, July 25. It's a big night for a troupe that's become a fixture of the Austin scene over the last two decades.
The revue is billed as the longest continuously running and most awarded burlesque show in the U.S., and this anniversary gala brings the whole cast together on one stage. You'll see Ruby Joule, Ruby Lamb, Selma Bawdy, Something Blue, Alexander the Great, and Jolie Goodnight, all backed by Her Stardust Band. The performance blends classic live-band burlesque with neo-burlesque, moving between group production numbers and solo acts.
Joining the regular cast is guest artist Frankie Fictitious, a queer Asian American performer and producer based in San Francisco. Fictitious has been crowned Miss Exotic World and Miss Viva Las Vegas and is listed among the Top 50 Most Influential Burlesque Performers Worldwide. The Jigglewatts themselves have built their reputation here in Austin and performed internationally, from Australia to Europe and across North America.
