An evening of interactive projects, immersive storytelling and conversations with Texas Immersive Institute students and collaborators, featuring hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction.
The Emerging Road is coming to Hope Gallery on Wednesday, October 7, from 7 PM to 10 PM. It's an evening presented by the Texas Immersive Institute (TXI), a program that gives UT Austin students a chance to work across disciplines, experiment with emerging tools, and build experiences that address real human needs. The night turns the big questions of our technological moment into an experience that asks you to approach new ideas with an ethical, creative, and critical imagination.
Inside, you'll navigate interactive projects and immersive storytelling, and you can talk with the TXI students, faculty, alumni, and industry collaborators who put them together. There will be hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction throughout the evening. The support from the night goes toward student access and project support, equipment and prototyping materials, opportunities to learn from visiting artists and mentors, scholarships and paid student opportunities, and programs like Immersive StoryCorps.
