A retro TV game show with a drag twist, hosted by comedy queens Celia Light and Mars, with audience participation and interactive mini-games.
The Drag Queen Game Show is on every Tuesday at The Highball, with the next one this Tuesday, July 21. It's hosted by comedy queens Celia Light and Mars, who run the whole thing as a retro TV game show with a drag twist. They call it "the draggiest game show in all Austin," and it lives up to the name.
Unlike a typical stage show where you just sit and watch, this one is built on audience participation. The room gets pulled into interactive mini-games that change theme every Tuesday, so it's a different experience each week. You'll see games like Right on the Money, Florida or False, Musical Bingo, and Couples Therapy—all with the draggy spin Celia Light and Mars bring to the hosting. The prizes are a bit of a joke, too; reviewer James Scott described them as "a drag queen ribbing you."

Each show runs about two hours, and since it's at The Highball, you can have dinner while you watch—they serve the full Alamo Drafthouse menu. Reservations are recommended, and seating is first come, first served, so if you're planning on eating, it's worth getting there a bit early. The show starts at 8 PM, and it's free for anyone 21 and up.
