The Basement Yard returns with a live show billed as bigger, bolder and more interactive than ever, built around the unfiltered hot takes, heated debates and crowd participation that drive the show.
The Basement Yard Live comes to Bass Concert Hall on Thursday, December 10, as part of the 2026-2027 Texas Welcomes series. The show is presented by Texas Performing Arts.
Joe Santagato and Frank Alvarez are the two behind the mic, and they're bringing the podcast's usual format to the stage. They describe this live version as bigger, bolder and more interactive than ever, built around the unfiltered hot takes, heated debates and crowd participation that drive the show. If you've listened to them before, that's exactly what you'll get in person: the same back-and-forth they do on the record, just with the audience in the room.
There's a charitable side to the night, too. Joe Santagato has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 from every ticket sold goes to The Happy Cry Fund, which is dedicated to strengthening communities and providing support during times of crisis. So, a small part of your ticket goes toward that.
