The University of Texas Longhorns women's volleyball team hosts the USC Trojans in a Big Ten/SEC Challenge match at Gregory Gym.
Texas Volleyball takes on USC at Gregory Gym on Wednesday, Sept. 2, with the first serve at 8 PM. It's a home match for the Longhorns, who are playing as part of the Big Ten/SEC Challenge. If you can't make it in person, the match will be carried on ESPN2.
There's a lot of weight behind this one. Texas is a national powerhouse, sitting at No. 2 in the AVCA Preseason Coaches' Poll. This is also one of their first home matches since moving to the SEC, and Gregory Gym is where they'll be hosting their home schedule this season. The match is part of the Big Ten/SEC Challenge, which pits teams from the two conferences against each other.
On the court, the roster is stacked. Five players made the U.S. Women's VNL roster, and four of them helped lead the U.S. team to gold at the U21 Pan American Cup. Torrey Stafford and Cari Spears both made the AVCA Player of the Year Preseason Watch List and the Preseason All-SEC Team. Off the court, the team earned the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award.
